So we got the bellhousing and new headers in and the old shifter is out of the car. Before we took the shifter and stuff out the car started fine with the new pedal assembly in.

The car will start if i jump the solenoid.

Any ideas? Is it just a bad solenoid or is there something we took out with the aod or something that needs to be hooked up to the tko?

Yeah, there are three plugs that go int othe clutch pedal box assy. The one over the clutch pedal is the neutral safety switch which allows the car to start only when the clutch is pushed in.

have you hooked up the new netural saftey switch?

The neutral safety switch on the pedals is hooked up. And after i completed the pedal assembly swap the car started fine(with the clutch pedal depressed) but the auto and the auto shifter were all still hooked up. with the exception of the auto shifter lockout assembly which wasnt hooked up on the column or plugged in to its connection.

Ok so i dragged the AOD back under the car and connected the 5 prong plug(4 wires) under the car back to the tranny. Moved the gear selector on the tranny and found neutral or park (dont know which) and the car started right up. (the clutch pedal has to be pushed in) So what exactly do i need to do to rememdy this problem? thanks
