Alright, I've never had any problems with my Lentech... but I went to start my car today and it wouldn't turn over. I figured out that the trans wasn't all the way it park even though the shifter said it was. I tap it and am able to start my car. I start going down the road and it's staying in 1 gear. Now it won't get out of that gear, even when I put it in park on the shifter I can still drive.

I don't know what is going on... I've had the trans for about 1,000 miles and this is the first problem I've had. It's been pretty cold out but I gave the car a 5 min warmup before I moved it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The FIRST time my AOD (stock) decided to destroy itself to my disgust, I experienced a similar problem. It had been rebuilt just before I bought it, and about two weeks later, I was on a hill and it was rolling backwards while in drive. Yeah, scared the crap outta me. So anyway, I didn't have problems w/ the shifter itself, BUT like yours it wouldn't go out of first gear. As it turned out, a small spacer type thingy inside the transmission was faulty, had broken and fallen through the gears. As a result, 2nd through 4th were DESTROYED and cost me about a grand to have a rebuild (couldn't get 2nd party warranty). Any way, yours should still be under warranty (i hope) and you should be able to get it fixed regardless of the problem. Tranny woes are the worst. I'd rather have a blown up motor. (Instead I'm in the process of getting my 2nd new tranny in 3 years....hopefully this T-5 will be better). In any case, I hope you get yours figured out and fixed w/o too much hassle. Good luck.
