I just ordered a street edge converter and was wondering what size cooler I should get.

would that 18,000 one be big enough? Also is that hose it comes with long enough? or is there other parts I need to buy?

How often are we supposed to change atf and filter? Mine was probably done 15k miles ago. Is it a must do while installing the TQ converter?

I think I need a bigger cooler than that. Does anyone know of a bigger one for a decent price?

B&M Supercooler would be my choice (the 24 GVWR version with barbed fittings). YOu will want a stacked plate cooler.

While doing the converter is the PERFECT time to flush the system. You will have it open and the converter holds half the fluid.

Brandon has some good posts on doing it, and TCCOA has the master write ups.

Good luck.

How much fluid does it hold? I remebered I got my transmission "serviced" like 4k miles ago. It would probably be easier just to flush it and pay the extra cash for fluid.

Its just that I have spent way to much cash on my car this week.

Dont quote me, but it holds around 14 quarts. At less than a buck a quart for M/D III, that is not much (compared to using a flush machine).

This would also be a great time to switch to MV if you feel like it.

Good luck.
