aode problems

does anyone know what could be causing my aode to lose all power and then all of a sudden jerk real hard. It's like its slipping off a gear then catching it real hard. Its also starting to stall real bad. I was wondering if this may be a certain part or is it time for a rebuild. Take into consideration that im a college kid that stays broke. lol.

sounds like your clutches my be worn and/or losing some pressure

There are alot of things that could cause that. I have an overdrive problem, and in my research I've found the following-
TPS sensor could be bad.
Speed sensor could be bad.
Lever postition sensors are poor design in these years. They are not sealed properly. $42 for a replacement at advance auto parts.
Also there is a crappy design in one of the roller clutches. Mine went in a town car, caused 2nd gear to not work.

just some things to look into. Also, drive with O/D off, see what happens.
