I know this isn't the right forum, but this is the most active one, and has the most knowledgeable people, so I will ask my question here.
I'm working on a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII, with an AODE Trans. I've rebuilt the trans, and bought a torque converter online, but it doesn't match up to the one I pulled out. The new TC is a bit taller, and the studs on it are a tad further apart. I discovered that the TC I bought is an F60, and the one I need is an F63. The one that came out is an F57 I believe, but the car had been having massive trans problems, most of which seemed TC related. The F63 TC is much more expensive than what I paid for this new F60, so my question is this. Can I just change the flywheel to one that will take this F60, and be alright, or will there be some other problem? The new TC slides right onto the trans no problem, and when I spin it, it moves the trans, so I know it works as far as that. Thanks!
