AODE / 4R70W "Interceptor", Stall Speed: 2500 Add $121.00, 2WD: Yes, Add Hard Intermediate Shaft: Yes at $160.00, Horse Power: Under 500, Gear Set: 4R70W Wide Ratio, Powder Coat Add $150.00: No, Cast Aluminum Pan: Yes 26X at $190.00, Home Delivery Extra $75.00: No, Free: Trans Cooler

$2,000 from
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/aode.htm#Level 2
its the Level 2 "Interceptor" package.

this tranny will hold up to my 331 and maby the occasional 50-75 shot when i need it.
i can get a local shop to rebuild the stock one and it should cost about the same, maby more, they wont know untill they tare into it and see whats wrong with it. ( doesnt shift to 2nd WOT, have to let off gas then shift)

i could buy all the stuff i wanted in it...all the stuff thats in that tranny...and let the shop install it, or get them to purchase all the above items and install.

has anyone had experiences with this company?

any info or suggestions on a new or rebuilt tranny is greatly appreciated!

You don't happen to be hitting the rev limiter do you? With lower ratio gears (3.73, 4.10 etc). It is possible that the RPMs climb faster than your transmission can shift.

nope all stock except the k&n that was really oily... the engine had ALOT of blowby...it was well do for a rebuild. some said on another forum that it could be the CTS (coolant temp sensor) or the TPS (throttle position sensor).
