(REPOST BUT NEED HELP!!!)I have a 94 gt conv. automatic with about 87,000 miles on it. My automatic transmission feels stiff when i shift it into drive when its cold out. Now it did this last winter ocassionaly, but now its been doing it every time i start my car. I can get around it by putting it into Nuetral for a few seconds, then into drive and it will shift fine for the rest of the day. When i say it feels stiff going into gear, i mean that the shifter doesnt want to move. Im going to put in some new tranny fluid and see if that gets me through the winter. Im planning on putting a built up aode this spring, and i want to know if only the 94-95 transmissions will work or if any of the fox's will work. I also heard that the 3.8L auto tranny will bolt up to a 5.0 block. If anyone can help me out, let me know, thanks.

I have a question: How similar is the 94-95 AODE to the 99+ 4R70W? Externally they look the exact same, how about internally?

I know the 4R70W in my 99 GT was a great tranny, I'm curious to see how my 95's AODE holds up.

Interesting....I really need to learn more about my tranny.

There's lots of T5, AOD, 4R70W, and C4 information out there but not so much for the 94-95 AODE.

Here's how far off the bolt pattern is:

I found out the hard way.... had the tranny dropped and the new converter in with single bolt pattern that was for a 4.6L AODE :nonono:
