Are all after market axels created equal?

I just picked up a 31 spline torsen diff and a set of 3.73 FRPP gears. Now I am trying to figure out which axels to buy. I know I am going to stay with c-clip axels and have been looking at Moser, FRPP, Strange, and Superior. Is there any difference between these axels or should I just buy one that I can get the cheapest?

I have the Mosers and I'm very happy. I've run them for about 2 years now and race a couple times a month. I'm launching on 28x14.50-15 Hoosiers QTP's and they're holding up fine.

Running Mosers with no complaints here.

I had fitment issues with my mosers...one side was slightly too long but they did send a new one out quickly. Had them for 4 years now.

I had to shim the caliper on one side with my moser's. not a big deal. Aslo the tone ring surface was a bit larger diameter than stock so getting them on was no fun.

they are all very similar alloy's. I think I would try the FRPP axles. they are cheaper and maybe closer to stock on the tolerances. I was going to run them but they were back ordered out of summit at the time and shipping form the other places made them no cost savings.

I would run strange, frpp, and moser without blinking. even though I had some issue with the mosers it was nothing that was amazingly hard to deal with. I don't know the superior brand that well so I would avoid them. does not mean they are bad they are just the same price and I have no expenience with that brand.

31 spline mosers. Been in for 2 years and about 50 launches.

I was leaning towards the Mosers before and I think that you guys sealed the deal. Did anyone have trouble getting the abs rings off the olf axels and onto the new ones? I have read that they sometimes break. Is there anywhere to get them other than the dealer and SHM?
