87-89 are 85 mph. 90-93 are 140. At least this is what I seen at the boneyard regardless of engine size.

the 140's started in 89, that was the first year for mass air and the 140, last year for tilt stearing in the fox. in 90 they changed some of the layout and added airbags, thats why a multi switch (turn sig, wipers switch) from a 89 wont work on a 90.

The 4cyl only had a 6k tach instead or the 7k.

yeh the air bag clusters had the dummy lights in the middle of the cluster, my 88 has them next to the steering column.

87-89 and 90-93 are the cutoff years

GT and LX 5.0's get the same gauges. 87-89 GT's get an extra light pod below with Low Fuel, Low coolant, Check Oil and LOW washer fluid lights.

140MPH first started midway through 1989. So some '89's have an 85MPH speedo and some a 140MPH speedo.

All 4-bangers got a 85MPH and 6000RPM tach

All V8's got an 7000RPM tach
