My 79 four eyed's odometer quit racking up miles and I''ve determined that the main odo inside the head is stripped out (see photos). Does anyone have an old trashed 79-85 speedo I can scavenge that gear from, OR know of another way of getting a gear ( speedo shop, 3d printing ??). I highly doubt that FoMoCo ever even offered one, as it is a bit tedious to get the old one out and then calibrate the numerals correctly once it's back in. Mine is the upgraded 140 mph motorsport unit from '85 with a white face overlay and I'd like to keep it in my cluster along with the Bosch white face gauges I retrofitted into the stock setup. This speedo was pretty much the same from 79 to at least 85. Some of you may know some way for me to proceed. I would appreciate it.

Wonder if an 87-89 speedometer would have the part you need? The 11th picture kinda looks like yours in that area where that shaft/gear is.

And, for an even less affordable option, the entire cluster...
