Are these budget shifters any good?

I'd like a new shifter, but my car is really just a driver. It's never going to the track. It seems like the suggested shifters are a couple of hundred bucks. If this one is any good at all, it seems like a bargain. Has anyone tried these?

Anything is better than stock.

I don't have any personal experience with the off-shore stuff like this, but the Hurst that came on my Saleen is junk compared to the Tri-Ax that I replaced it with. On my wife's old Cobra, it came with a B&M Ripper that was "okay", but again no comparison to the Tri-Ax that it got replaced with.

I got a cheapie short throw billet off of evilbay and it has been actually pretty good.no play to speak of and it came with a ton of extra hardware.

I used a tri-ax, but having used an MGW in my 03 gT I was partial to it. So one day I found soneone who wanted to even trade my tri ax for his MGW

I noticed a difference right away and live the NGW. Nothing wrong with tri ax....I just like feel of MGW

I had a cheap eBay shifter for a few months. Lots of slop, I'd save your $. Had a tri-ax and it was nice but I'm currently running an mgw and it's by far the best shifter out there.

I have a Pro 5.0 shifter with Tri-Ax handle and Hurst shifter ball, I like that combo! I would be open to try a MGW also.

only issue i see with the latemodelresto shifter is the number of bolts. just more for me to break

Back in the Day, the best choice was Hurst. Big difference over stock. The positive adjustable stops tend to make it noisier but for powershifting the stops are required.
