Are Vert sunvisors different then coupe visors?

I need new sun visors and there are some on ebay for like 5 bucks. Will coupe ones fit the vert, or are they different?

I have heard that they are different, the vert ones don't last (I know mine are shot) and that the very ones are $$$.

Basically it sounds you are better off recovering the ones you have...

Mine are also shot ('00 GT 'Vert)
How do you "recover" them?
Just wondering....

The 'vert visors are most definately different. I bought some coupe visors in an attempt to swap the vert bracket and rod over but it is harder than it looks!

I'd suggest trying to get them recovered.

While I haven't tried in my mustang yet, I had done this years ago in a truck. I took the visor out, cut the stitching holding the cardboard onto the visor, then pulled of the factory material, some spray adhesive and new material, re-sew together and voila...

The Mustang visors are held in place around the mirror - you'd have to cut around it as well. It could be doable. I'll pull out the visors I have in my garage and take a look at them this afternoon.

Yes it's definately doable to carefully pull the cover off the coupe visor and put it on the convertible visor.

The only problem areas would be the mirror and around where the visor clamps near the rearview mirror.
