Nah, Dustin's talking about the f-bodies t-56. The lt1's from 93-97 and ls1's from 98-02. They have a skip shift feature which doesn't allow you to downshift from let's say 4th to 2nd gear. You have to go to 3rd before you can do that or you get a grind

Thank you for the bit of info.

Man, that's a lame quirk.

I am glad someone shut up the charger guy.. I was on the verge of going to get my car, and i know that wouldn't have been to good. I would have shown the charger guy what a supercharged 02 GT would do, but the one rod knocking might have came through the block..

That would've been funny to see the look on his face when he got smoked by yet ANOTHER mustang

I wish i could've seen that car before the rod messed up, that sucks about the rod tho man!

The skip shift feature is for gas mileage savings from what I have read. SLP makes a $30 dollar plug-n-play piece to get rid of that like you were saying. The skip shift won't affect his shifting. I haven't noticed it in the two I have driven (6spd's). We need to all head to the track soon...I wish I could get my "stuff" fixed ASAP.

Derek - Thanks for the back-up...you know what I'm talking about I know the blown 02 would take it for sure

My clutch is pretty bad. I guess Saturday night put an end to it. It isn't grabbing hard at all and is slipping pretty badly. Sometimes the mustang gods think I have money, I don't You know when you punch in second (sunday morning) and it spins to 6,000rpm but I'm only doing 40mph in 2nd something ain't right. And no the tires weren't spinning

I have driven a couple of 6-spds and some of them do kick in good and some don't... you can cram it I'm positive but other than that.. disabling it is the best feature.

Hey man, if u need any help with that transmission give me a call and me, matt and ryan will come help u put it in anytime. U should have gave us a call when u was taking it out.

Drove my car today.. Knocked a little, but ran liked a rapped ape, and when i parked it the dang thing wasn't knockin at all.. I listen for like 10 mins and couldn't here the slightest bit of knock and it was idling good and everything.. I don't know i am goin to start it in the mourning and see what happens.. If anyone pisses me off (charger guy) i will go get the darn thing and race.. I'm not scared...

David u ready to race?? J/K

Yes and no

My clutch is slipping quite badly now. It has progressed since even Saturday. I seriously bet I'm mid-11's right now...maybe a tick quicker. It is noticeable and starts slipping once I get in my midrange. You can feel it shutter across the flywheel

Once I make my insurance payment this next coming week I'm going to start making plans on getting the longtubes, ported lower intake, and gasket match the intake/exhaust and hopefully mess with the timing a bit more. I'm going to shoot for 10.3's with a burnout I want to hit 100mph. It should make us a bit closer...you still will have more power

Yeah will probably do it all at John's house (go figure). I'm also going to get a new clutch disc (rear main seal as well)/reweld the valve covers with new cork gaskets/readjust my valvetrain geometry/index the plugs/and add some seafoam Lot's of little things...just to "help".

Thanks for the offer...you have helped me before and I wouldn't mind it again, that's for sure

Too bad you couldn't have brought your car out without any worries Saturday night and got that charger guy to shutup! He gets on my nerves soooooo bad, always talkin about how i "only keep up" and all that!.. oh well, I wanna run him again when i'm not so antsy, maybe I can get some traction and put him in the dirt a little worse, but nothin like david did!! that was pretty damn funny!!

We should race David, maybe if I get an awesome takeoff and shut down like a Ricer (before you get a chance to pass) I can have the honor of saying I beat you! haha j/k man!! That wouldn't be right, you've stomped my ass in before and I know you could do it on a slipping clutch, it's all good tho haha

I need to get my throwout bearing replaced and get the front seal on my tranny fixed since it's leaking. I also need to check the shifter to see where that's leaking from.

Jason - Not a bad idea I want to see what your car can do...it is a strong running 2v

Derek - Wouldn't that be awesome if your car's knock mysteriously went away and permantly

John - I am scared of every hemi ever made...especially those chargers Do they have a scared face smilie? lol. to the hemi. Their combustion chamber isn't a real hemispherical design like the old ones used to be. I guess it's more for nostalgia

Brain - If I was to do exhaust over (about to do most of it) I would do BBK longtubes (1 5/8), into a matching BBK H, and mac mufflers. Then just open up the collector flange a bit to 2.5in. and that would be a nice setup That is what I plan on doing...so I'm kind of bias

I wonder what my car could run out at centerville with a set of DR's, a good light and some nice traction

I think 11.2's with drag radials. A good light won't effect anything though. You can sit at the light for 2 seconds if you want to and run the same time. The timer isn't tripped until the car is in motion...it's good for us slow reaction people like me

Dr's ='s nice traction in your case

I'd heat them up nicely. I don't heat up regular radials though. Just drag radials or slicks would be all I would heat up.
