Well guys i have some good news.. My car isn't knocking anymore
I drove it to morrilton yesterday and we hooked it up to the diagnostic.. It didn't read any codes at first but we done a different test and it spit out 3 codes.. Every code had something to do with damaged PCM.. I still don't know if it is in my chip or my actual PCM. It is runing a little lean as well. I may have my car ready to go way before i thought Now i have to decide how i am goin to go about fixing the problem?? Any suggestions.. Send my computer off to see if that is the problem or what?

I'm almost positive the damaged PCM is your aftermarket chip (not stock tune). Your computer just isn't used to a different brain. It will throw a code. I would still be a bit easy on it just to be on the safe side
Is it still spitting out the black out the tailpipes?

No racing from a roll for me.. I like working on my launch and seeing if I can do any better.. Plus Brian (coupeownerBE) wants to try out his new susp. for traction. I'm not too much into all that "racing from a roll" stuff anyways

I got somethin on my car fixed today, might help me out a little bit
my shifter handle was messed up from somebody trying to put the wrong thread sized knob on it one day (without my permission).. so my shift knob had to sit way high up on it, made me miss a million 3rd's.. now i finally got the threading re-done and it's a lot shorter and i can FINALLY get 3rd gear
nothing much, but at least i can get 3rd now

I forgot who won the first time we ever raced.. ah well, if my car doesn't sell.. time to do some more modifications. Specifically with the intake... 40 more hp just from that should be nice.
Watson keeps reminding me everytime I get frustrated with my car that it started at like 175-180hp... so with that in mind, I have gained a lot.

Yeah a stock 5.0L and non-pi headed 4.6L dynos at the wheels (rwhp) 185-190 with a 5spd. That is about 225bhp.
I have seen some gains on intakes around 10-15rwhp...properly setup heads and cam package as a whole net some bigger numbers. Trickflow's, afr's, eddy's, can get you some nice under the curve power that one needs.
John as 225bhp (his 98 has a bit more aggressive exhaust timing from the computer over the 96-97's) so with his catback/prochamber he is probably around 240bhp. About 205rwhp or so.
Stock for stock...the 5.0L vs. non pi headed 4.6L is a dang good race with equal drivers.
Edit: Yeah the "Jason vs. Brian" race should be a good'en I think the 02 will have the better topend power (trap higher) but it should be a dang good one. The ole 5.0L has got the down low, I wish both had drag radials so it would driver vs driver and power vs. power instead of throwing in the traction factor
On a side note, my car feels like a dog right now with that clutch. Almost embarrasing...lol.
Oh yeah, Brain I think you have headers right? Well anyways I'll have some equal length mac headers off my car in a month or so and a offroad H pipe (slight dent in it though). I will also have some Cobra EFI valve covers off my car and I have 1.7RR's for sale if you want them (if you don't have them already). Just let me know if your interested...I know money gets tight...but I was trying to get a bit to help with some purchases

Damn brian, you dont have to get all flustered about ****. You know my car's beat you several times, no matter if it was TJ or me driving it. You jumped the gun twice and we still beat you after 2nd gear. It's ok if your car gets beat, ya know. I mean, look what all cars have beat me: David's 5.0, Carolyn's Mach 1 (all 7 or 8 times), and Matt's '00 GT to name a few. There have been a lot more also, but it puts you in your place and lets you know where you stand and what you need to do next time. I've gotten to be quite a bit better driver than I was before tho.

It may be quick, but my car has beat your's MANY times. You even beat your own car in my car with TJ driving yours, so stop making excuses and ****. And, I do not race for money, you know that, it's not The Fast And The Furious or anything. I only race for the hell of it. And don't turn this into a pissing match..
And, as for the Tim thing, I had to go to wal-mart and he did too. I dropped by, picked him up and got somethin from his apartment, went to wal-mart and dropped him off, then went back home afterwards (If you must know). Me and Tim have been friends since 6th grade, so if you don't like the fact that he's my best friend then sorry.
