that is one thing I love about the 99+... the ride is a lot smoother than the 94-98 models. My car rides and shifts smooth, but the newer models are better imo.

I'd trade my '04 for my '95 in the same condition as when I got them both, anyday. There was just something about that car.

my car rides like crap, but i think that has something to do with not being aligned, being lowered, nearly bald front tires and that sort of stuff

I'd like to do that one-touch down passenger side window thing, but i dont like messing with wiring

Best $27 ever spent and a 2nd grader can do it in 15 minutes. Propellerhead has a good write up on it.

H/C/I FTW! You can get the Holley Systemax kit for 2200, or the Trickflow for 2100 ... WHOLE KIT

Well Brian join the dent club Well atleast yours won't be for long.

Here is how I look at it...

Personally if your wanting a good effective h/c/i package I would get the TFS package. Good price for what you get.

Pros/cons time.

I personally am a fan of going h/c/i over a supercharger for a few reasons.

1. The h/c/i kits include aluminum heads. You lose rouhgly 45-50 lbs off your front end over iron heads like what you have. A supercharger adds 50lbs to the front end.

2. They both acheive the same type power numbers.

3. A h/c/i package can be "hometuned" safely where as a supercharger is more picky and would really need a dyno tune/chip ($500 bucks).

4. A supercharger also adds more rotating parts to go wrong and clutters the engine bay and you need to relocate certain things (with certain superchargers) like the alternator/air conditioning/etc. There is more to remove when you have to replace basic parts.

5. When you do a h/c/i kit it basically rebuilds the topend of your engine as well. Good piece of mind.

Just some thoughts...that is why I chose to go with the h/c/i route. It cost some pretty pennies but I don't regret it...

Superchargers may add 50 lbs, but they more than make up for their weight, IMO. Forced induction rocks.

Trust me I love forced induction but for "our" needs I listed the pros for the h/c/i package over the supercharger. It will be more reliable if setup properly. The power numbers are similar and in most cases the h/c/i will beat a 8psi supercharger...the overall power curve (area under the curve, aka peak numbers) is what counts.

8 psi is relatively low, when it comes to boost, however, so what you are saying has merit. However, 12 - 15 psi is going to be a different story.
