helty said:ok guys, i slept in and missed class this morning. the only way to clear my conscionce is to buy another mod. what should it be?
anyway, who wants to watch the jermaine taylor / bernard hopkins fight saturday night? i gotta order it today. it costs $50 so i'll have to collect $5-$10 a head. let me know.

you know, i talked to the head tech at stangsuspension.com and he told me that even the H&R Sports (that i am/was? trying to sell) wont hurt for drag racing purposes as much as the FRPP "C" or Steeda Sport springs, even though the H&R's offer a bit more of a drop.4u2nv said:Helty, get some C springs.![]()
H&R sports have a max of 575 for the front BUT 285 max for the rear, when it comes down to it you need softer spring rates for the rear, BUT guess what? He IS wrong. Steeda Sport springs run a max of 250 at the rear, which means the rear H&R's will be better for a launch. Not the same as "C" spring cause they rin 300 max at the rear. There are so many other variables that affect launching, the somewhat
stiffer spring rate of the H&R sports (which are actually softer than
the Ford C's or Steeda sports) will not affect your launches...
A. Rear end design is fine.A Mustang in particular is more affected by:
A. bad rear end design
B. loose/poorly designed stock rear control arms
C. twisting of the rear end (caused by combination of shocks, control
arms, lack of panhard bar)
D. street tires (will never yield the best launches)
ok, what im wanting is a dd car with a lowered stance that can drag launch. that eliminates the eibach drag launch kit. i already have the H&Rs in a box, never installed. what would you suggest?tomustang said:H&R sports have a max of 575 for the front BUT 285 max for the rear, when it comes down to it you need softer spring rates for the rear, BUT guess what? B. It's the bushings.
C. Bushings again, Torque Arm/PHB will yeild the best, just adding a PHB won't do much at all
D. I agree with tires.
mods are in the sig man. i just went to the strip for the first time 3 weeks ago so im just now getting into it. I have a set of DRs sitting in my apartment already. shocks/struts and bushings will be addressed down the road. any suggestions? urethane? polyurethane? i dont know chit about suspension. thanks to both of you for your advicecobra_scout said:Helty
Do upper and lower control arms with an anti sway. You could even do a Performance K member.
I was going to say bushings, but i figured you had made that one of your first mods.

i do plan on getting some Pro3i or MM LCAs in a few months if that helps any.
thanks Tomtomustang said:keep the sports![]()
