FYI, The FLOWMASTER CATBACK SYSTEM TAILPIPES BLOW .. They rattle like a mofo, I tried it a different way.. rattles, take it to muffler shop.. a day later.. rattle. Man what a crappy design.. honestly. If anyone needs some 2.5" tailpipes, let me know. I am not sure if it is because of my gears putting so much torque on the body or not but I am not changing the gears for some tailpipes.

I paid $250 for the system shipped from summitracing so I'd like to get rid of the tailpipes for atleast $40.

They sound really good.. I just cannot get it to stop rattling or rubbing on the frame.

Brandon's gears are nearly identical as yours and it doesnt rattle his exhaust.. his car has more torque too.. So it's not the gears.....

Could it be installer error?? Maybe you're rubbing something.. 94-98's have that problem with some catbacks..

i had the same problem after a few months with my cat-back. check the over-axle bends. i'll bet you a bag of baked lays chips its banging off the frame at the top of that bend. fortunately my system is adjustable so it was an easy fix. isnt the flowmaster system all welded? i'm not farmiliar with it so i dont know what to tell you.

Check at the hump over the axle (top of it) and check the mufflers to make sure the body isn't rubbing against the side of the muffler. Flowmaster has usually been a pretty consistent quality:shrug:

no, the flowmaster system isn't welded (american thunder anyway) and I know the muffler keeps sliding down that hanger till its almost off so I know it is rubbing there.. I just cannot make it stop from coming off. I am positive that little correction there would make the whole system work great.

Have you tried adjusting the legs of the H, to see if you can get better fitment?

man i wish i would have known about your tail pipes last week cuze i would have brought them i jsut put my 2.25 back on o and have you try weldin your hanger like a u soo they wont fall off cuze that is how mine are and the guy at b and m did them!!!!!
