Brandon - You have great taste in mod selection:)
thank you ;) Kooks LT's up next. Some people say they're overkill price-wise, and I can see why. But, at least I know they're the last set of headers I'll ever buy (for this car anyway), and wont need to remove them for tranny/clutch work. :nice:

you want to help out with the Kooks? after they get back from Jet-Hot, that is. probably wont be for another 2 months. The guy from ls1speed is getting me a quote today. Once I see how much it is compared to buying directly from Kooks, I'll go from there. I want to do my McLeod at the same time, but Ive never done a clutch before. :(

If you, or anyone else wants to give me a hand, I'll buy lunch and dinner and throw a few bones ($) your way for the trouble, as well as be forever appreciative :)

Brandon, I work for free man:) I look at that stuff as fun, and plus "the shop" is close to where I live...so no biggie:nice:

I've done a few clutches...lol...we can do it!

So what are "rough estimates" on getting longtubes jet-hot coated?

Tim - Well plane tickets are getting cheaper;) Will start a fund-raiser...

Jet-Hot quoted me $299 for Sterling 1300 degree coating, in and out, with a 48 hr turnaround time. Its a little high, but about what I expected. The dealer Im getting the Kooks from can get them ceramic coated too. He's getting me quotes for the headers, and then the headers + ceramic coating. If I can get the headers at a pretty good price, then I'll ante up the cash for the Jet-Hot. If it would be considerably less to have the dealer coat them for me, then I'll probably go that route. We'll see once I get the quotes, and do some thinking.

I appreciate offering your help and know how :nice: I love working on cars too (especially my own :D ). You'll at least get a free lunch and dinner out of it. Probably dinner, cuz from what I understand LT's on the 4.6s are a pain. Supposedly with the kooks you dont need to drop the K-member or raise the motor, sp hopefully that will expedite the job.

I'll keep you guys up to date on everything, and hopefully we can schedule it in advance. Can't wait to hear the car with Kooks and Bassani

Unfortunately, after this may be my last round of mods for a while (like I havent said that before  ) I think my next job is going to be MMR heads and VT stage 2 cams with a good dyno tune. Shooting for 300+ on my lowly 2V, ALL MOTOR :nice:

Brandon, you're going to need a DD soon, if you keep this up. ;)
maybe something along the lines of a Honda Civic?

Blah, this thing will be my DD until I get another Stang, or a truck. After the heads and cams, theres not much more I can do power-wise except FI territory. But, Im saving that for after school, so 3-5 years :(

Maybe an F-150 or Silverado HD 2500. *rubs chin*
