Every time im about to order exhaust i always second guess myself and its really making me mad. I have a UPR OR X pipe and i was thinking about some catbacks to get. 1st i wanted the SLP Loudmouth 2 but then i heard it gets raspy, then i wanted the Bassani CB and then i was thinking magnapacks. I really want something loud but not too loud where you dont even want to drive the car any more. I want something unique sounding and muscular. I have a 01 GT. Any ideas? Am i being too picky? BTW if anyone suggest flows or mac im gonna blow up.... i cant stand chambered exhausts, IMHO.

i have a vid of the Loudmouth II's. they're not raspy at all. the I's are raspy, but the II's are deeper. give me a second and I'll post the link for you.

here, listen to this. similar to the magnapacks and stingers but a bit deeper i think. this is with an off-road X-pipe.

http://media.putfile.com/SLP1_0001

if all else fails get Borla Stingers, just be prepared to pay out the ass for them.

Well, if you have the offroad x, its gonna have somewhat of a raspy sound to begin with. go with the packs.

If you don't want it to be raspy, then you should have gotten an H-Pipe not an X.

I know you didn't want to hear it, but Flowmaster 40 series are the way to go. I get compliments like every other day. Plus the H-Pipe I got change the sound as well.

not every x-pipe combo is raspy. mine isnt. it used to be with the LMI's, but with the II's its deeper at idle and mid rpm's but screams bloody murder at WOT.

here'a a vid of jasonh_86's stang. O/R Prochamber with 40 series flows. both sound really good IMO but everyone has their own taste. enjoy

EDIT: WTF? Putfile removed the vid? there was nothing vulgar about it! BS!

hold-on, i'll get it back up.....

2nd EDIT: Here it is. F'n Putfile.

i dont like how that sounds.... im just not a fan of chambered mufflers, it sounds like my 94 5point slow sounded. That had OR H and 3chamber flows. Im starting to get intrigued with the Magnapacks. who has them on thier cars? Bassani isnt ruled out either tho.

Actually, the UPR X and Bassani Catback is what i'll be going with shortly. I'm pretty sure it'll be REALLY loud...well i hope it is, cuz thats what i'm looking for . If you want a bit quieter go with the Magnapacks, my buddy has them with an O/R and its ALOT quieter than the O/R and Flows combo i had on my old GT. Its pretty tame until you go WOT

i knew you wouldnt like it, i just wanted to give you something to compare that vid of the LMII's to. everyone says the LMIIs are raspy, but if you watch both vids back to back, the IIs sound a bit deeper than the Flows.

personally i like both sounds, but I'm in love with my II's

i think you'll be happy with any of the following: SLP LMII's, Borla Stingers or Magnapacks.

with the Off-Road X the II's or Stingers won't be as raspy as the packs IMO. i think the II's would be deeper than the other two (yes I've heard all 3 in person). of course I'm biased, but my vote goes for the II's, Stingers then the Packs. Good luck on your decision.

oh, and having had the LMI's before, if you really dont want something that will be annoying as a DD, dont get the I's, especially with an off-road X. it will sound like ass! the I's sound great with the stock H, and loud as hell but borderline obnoxious with a catted X. I've had all 3 set-ups before installing the II's and the II's are hands down better sounding with a comprimise of being loud but not annoying for daily driving. just my .02
