Arrr doesnt make sense

Okay I'm running a 5 speed 99 GT, 53,000 miles with 4.10 gears, air intake, steeda pullies, bassani x pipe, and flows. My buddy has a 2002 silverado with chrome 18's, flowmaster exhaust and he just hooked up a hypertech programmar and messed with it and is running like 91 octane now. Tonight we messed around and from going from first gear at about 10 mph to mid 3rd gear the front of his truck was at the gas cap on the side of my car. Now I'm shifting at probably like 5900 RPMS with a bit of spinning in 1st. Whats going on here guys? Shouldn't I be putting a hurt on him or what? I know they make around what, 280 HP stock? Plus the loss of HP from auto and then add on the weight. I dunno if my car isn't running tip top or what, but this pisses me off, I can't have a damn truck hanging next to me.

I am really suprised. I heard some of those programmers can really up the horsepower on certain cars/trucks. Maybe his is one of them...?

No **** dude. Maybe I should of been a little more detailed. His truck is a SWB Silverado with the 5.3 V8. I mean it's quick, but its a truck! Arrr
