It never ends.: D
The little 83 is running great
After my week long get away I came home with a leaking power steering pump, weak shocks that let the rear tires get scruffed up, and my transmission pan started leaking, plus my vacuum brake booster is sucking air when I put on the brakes.
Replaced the shocks today..
Power steering pump, and vacuum brake booster are supposed to be here Monday.
I’m getting there.
I have to say, the transmission pan has been a total pain in the ass.
I have decided that I’m using “The Right Stuff “, and screw a gasket.
No I haven’t over tightened bolts.
Yes I have made sure everything is flat.
Yes I bought a new transmission pan with a drain.
Smartest thing I have done since fighting the pan leak.
With all this bitching, I Love driving her.
Yes, she is sorta Raw, but the little sumbitch will flat ass run.
Enough to make my old nipples hard.

If you go for a cast aluminum pan you’d never haave to worry about over tightening the bolts and warping the pan rail and having it leak

. I ended up putting a trick flow cast alum pan on my aod and never having a problem again with it leaking .

It has a lube locker gasket .

If you ran one of them or a moroso rubber gasket and then use a super thin bead of the right stuff on the pan side of thegasket so you can still have it reuseable that also may solve some of your issue .

Old cars, what can you say. I am down to one leak now, and I am proud of that.

You can upload the video to YouTube then link the video to your thread. That's what I have to do.

Thank you for the tip.
I Just finished ordering the Trick Flow pan.
I'm so tired of pulling the pan off, an on.
think I have it fixed, then start seeing drips on the garage floor.
If this works I'll owe you big time.

I promise I hate the drips on my floor too. This thing with the lube locker gasket saved my day.
