Attach '66 Rear Qtr. Ornaments with Epoxy?

I am dreading removing interior trim and windows to install rear quarter ornaments (replacement quarter has no holes, either). Anyone ever glued them on successfully? Will glue just take paint off? Other hints on how to install and template for holes?

Yeah, bad idea. No matter how good the glue is, it'll only stay on as well as the paint.

also was planning to do the same on the front fender because those little suckers do not hold the ornament at all

So you have to remove rear seat bottom, side interior armrest piece, and some say rear quarter window, to install bolts from inside? AND you have to get drill the holes in exactly the right place with no template.

Holy cow - after hearing about people's problems aligning side windows, I'm concerned I'll screw it up. I tend to be the type that fixes one thing and breaks two...

Why don't you make a template out of card board ? Glue that in place with some light adhesive that is easily removable and then drill the holes. Remember to use a punch to start the holes.

The rear quarter ornaments should be held on by the proper hardware.
