Attaching door trim?

Probably a dumb question but how do you re-attach door trim that has come off? tape? glue?

you simply slide it on...it holds itself in place, or at least it should

if not (my 88 GT vert had no metal hehind the drivers side molding -the thick piece that runs mid door). i used 3M tape and weatherstrip (tape to hold it, weatherstrip to keep weather out).
