Attempted install on reverse glow gauges

So I get it all wired and everything set, turn em on.. and they are SO dim, that I cannot even see them at night.

****ty gauges?

I'm so pissed right now, its not even funny.

I connected positive to the fat brown wire, and negative to the very tiny gray wire.

All seems like it should work?

i grounded mine to the tubular metal support behind the cluster and mine are so bright i turned them down maybe try that.

2nd vote for grounding on the metal tubing behind the cluster. i had to sand it a drop for better solder contact but it worked like a charm.

whered you buy the gauges by the way? im looking for some on ebay but they all look crappy. i want some plain white ones that glow completely one color. the ones i keep finding are all colorful and tacky like a damned ricer rainbow.

You mean like this
guages I didn't see any listed by him for a 99+ car right now though.

Your ground is too weak

WHat i did was strip about 4" from the negative black wire and wrapped it around a bolt on the right side underneath the cluster that bolts to the brace running behind the dash. Easy and no splicing required.

My indigos are bright, i gotta turn them down at times

thats where i grounded mine also. mine are really bright but have a switch to dim/brighten them.

And i bought mine from UPR. paid a little more but they work well and were fairly easy to install.
