You can always do it if you want to wire it up...I put a GM auto dimming mirror in my old '94 F250. Might be a little more difficult in these cars but it can be done.
yes possible, to know how much trouble, first thing is to check the wiring diagrams for your model/year to know the nearest point where the signals are that you need. Ford normally wires up everything to the main connectors behind the dash, but then the last segment of wiring to the mirror is different. If you are lucky everything might be available in overhead light console. You probably only need +12V power. The mirror normally also gets the reverse signal so that it disables the dimming while in reverse. What's the year, trim/options of your car?
My mirror is doing that, right down the center. Its annoying. The camera ones are pretty cool. Down the road I might look into one. I'm into this for under $50 which is what LRS charges for a new fox mirror. My fox mirror was delaminating, so I needed a new mirror anyway.[/QUOT
