I want to order a Donnelly Auto dimming mirror with compass and temp display. I need to know if my '06 GT 'vert has a wedge mount or a cam lock mirror. Anybody know?

official_style,
I'm interested in the gentex mirror also. Where did you get yours? Thanks.

Does the '06 convertibles still have the lights built into them? If so, you need to make sure you get a replacement mirror with lights too.

I got a mirror with Temp and compass from the Ford access catalog. I think it was about $300. They also had one with homelink as well for another hundred bucks.

Convertables don't have lights in the mirror.

Mirror

I like the Donnelly mirror over the Gentex because I don't like the compass in the mirror itself. The Donnelly has the compass and the temp display under the mirror, on the "chin".
You guys that installed the mirror, how did you route the wires?

I installed a Gentex autodimming with Homelink. I ran the wires (also hard wired my V1 radar detector at the same time) under the headliner, down the passenger side pillar, into the fuse box in the kick panel. I found 2 unused fuse slots ( i constant hot, 1 ignition hot) and use one of thos "add a fuse" things. That way I didn't have to cut into any factory wiring.
