Mach 1 Auto Machs - what kind of times are you seeing ?

Curious as to what "real world" drivers are doing as opposed to magazine drivers.


I've only seen a few of these on the road - last one was an orange one that was just absolutely bad azz !


Of course, I am partial to orange after having 2 '79 RamChargers in Sunset Orange ( read: pumpkin orange - very easy to find in a parking lot ! ) & I love the Sunset Orange Metallic that GM offers.

I been hearing they are running 13.8-14.0 stock. With a few mods high 13's for sure.

my friend's aunt just bought an auto mach 1... why would you buy an automatic mach 1??? Anywho... she's planning on supercharging it, but I hear everything she says is BS. If she does, the automatic tranny shouldn't really matter.

Seat of the pants , it felt as fast as my SS - once the R's got up there.

Mebbe I drove a ringer ?


At any rate, the $'s did not work out, so I stuck w/ the SS.

Seems like Ford did well w/ the tranny on this car - or, perhaps it is the 4 valve motor. The auto GT's I drove were nice enough - all 'verts - but definitely did not have the same "oomph" as a LS1 - or the Mach.

My best before the supercharger was 13.4. Hopefully, I'll be much quicker with the addition of the Procharger...if I can just get it to hookup.

There is a guy that runs at my local track that has run 12.8 with a auto and bolt on's.

a buddy of mine ran a 13.4 @ 102 with just 4.10's and a tune in his auto mach
