Auto Shifter Console = Manual Shifter Console??

Yea, basically what the title says. Im swapping my car from an AODE to a T5 setup and Im doing it as if the car came this way factory. The manual console is daamn expensive tho, is it the same as auto one?? I don't wanna ghetto rig the auto one or trim it or anything, just wanna know if its the same. Thanks guys

you can just get a leather boot for yours

thats the only diff between auto and manual

that part is removeable (dont know if you were talking about just that or the whole console)

you can find those for a decent price on ebay or you can just buy the leather boot and attach it to your auto bezel. wither way both bezels are exactly the same except one has the leather boot and the other has a big hole

The console is the same the 'insert' surround is different. The sheet metal tunnels on the 5 speed and auto cars are different. The five speed tunnels are shorter than the autos. This shouldn't make much difference for you though.

Yea, that is what Im talkin about. Thats awesome if the hole is the same size and the boot can be attached to the console.

hes talking about the hole in the trans tunnel, where the shifter comes through. when you swap from auto to 5 speed youll see that you need to trim about an inch off the front of the hole for the shifter to come up through, no big deal tho
