Auto switch to 5 speed

yeah but i would keep your auto and go with a 3600 or so stall and 4.10s.. then you will LOVE that auto when your killing 5 speed cars.

I've been considering it for years. Its been done. Its not even that big a deal. But you'd better plan on keeping the car a long time or its not worth it. Youll blow 3k if you buy a new trans (TKO or T56). Maybe 2k if you go used.

These cars simply arent worth much anymore. You could buy a manual trans 04GT or a Cobra and not waste the cash on the conversion.

yeah thats a must.. also J-mod.. biggest thing is getting a quality converter. you get what you pay for..

I like 007 option just buying a used 5 speed car but how easy would it be to sell my car it being an auto? It has got 39000 miles and the only mod is weld in flows.

Should be pretty easy to sell, not too many miles on it, prolly runs great. Trust me, just because its on auto won't make it harder to sell (maybe area depending).

Around were I live auto's tend to out sell manuals about 3 to 1, because lots of people just don't seem to know how to drive stick anymore.

I looked into doing a swap in my old mustang, but it didn't seem worth it for the cost. I ended up just getting my 03 instead

With the miles on your car you could probably sell it for 10k. Around my area you can get a used s197s for around 14-18k.

I've got a 5-speed I would trade. But it had 106,000 Miles. Although it has been meticulously Cared for. Just got an engine flush, Trans Flush, Rear end Fluid Change, And Coolant Changed. It's red same model as yours, and it has a bbk 78 MM intake plenum tb combo, cold air, and predator tuner. As well as I have long tubes and h-pipe to go with it. Where you located? The wife can't seem to get the 5-speed down pat.

No its the fact that My wife can't get used to the 5-speed. And I've seen several 100K cars that are in better shape than 25K Cars.
