Auto to 5 speed conversion

just got a 99 gt that is an auto.

i want to convert it to a 5 speed but im not sure how expensive it will be.

just looking to get some opinions let me know

Yea I've always wondered how much is involved? I know going from auto to 5-speed is easier than 5-speed to auto!

if you just bought it and allready want to swap it you should have just bought a 5spd but you can do it with new clutch, cable kit, and can find a good used flywheel for about nothing, and find a used tranny, then you will need a tune probably around 1500
i am in the process of doing this now i have been the auto for 3yrs now im ready to get back to bangin the gears again

well i got the car for free my grandpa passed and he willed the car to me.

its in great shape and he never drove it.

its yellow gt with all options and only 18000 miles its a 99

i was just wanting to see about how much it would cost if i ever wanted to do a conversion in the future...

Do it smart and get a 6speed setup...! All In all Id say with tranny, clutch, cable and flywheel .. your looking at around 2500 with install !
