I"m thinking of taking an automatic 5.0 and swapping in my built(somewhat) T-5 into it. It's already got the gears in the tranny for the 3.73's i would be putting in too. The question is should i do a computer swap and all of that at the same time? I was going to be putting in the E303 cam at the same time, so i was thinking of gettting the Ford motorsports kit with the 93 computer, 70MM mass air, and 24# injectors. I've heard that the 93 computer works better, especially with the E cam anyways. What would i need to swap the computers and all anyways? Is it too much cost/hassle?

I don't have any experience with the 93 computer(upgrade??), but when swapping from an auto to a 5-speed, you'll have to swap computers. The auto comp. will run the car, but obviously it stil thinks its an auto, and it'll drive all whacky, but manageable. I drove mine with the auto comp. for a few days, then swapped the 5-speed comp. in, took 5 mins, right under the pass. side kick panel, piece of cake. good luck

I think i'm going to do it all in steps... First i'll put on my ported and polished heads and intake, and the cam, you know, the motor stuff first. Then when i have some more time i'll throw in the T5, and possibly the diff. computer and all that jibberish.
