Ok so i was sleeping last night and dreaming about taking my car out to the track but if i was to get a tune for an 05 GT stang and its an automatic so the tuner would change my shift points. But what if im running a 93 race tune and like i said my shift points are difference from stock, would there be any need to have my O/D switch then? would the person whos tuning my car disable it? Im just wondering how the O/D switch works with a tune and an auto. Or would it be possible to have my stock/DD tune on and wire it so when i press my O/D off/on button it switches to my tune? now that would be sick!

Sounds like you were still sleeping when you wrote this. The answer is no, you cannot change tunes by pressing a single button. The car needs to be turned off and the tuner needs to be connected to change tunes. There's no room on the computer to store an extra tune. Also O/D would not be turned off with a tune, you could disable the switch and use it for something else, but would lose the ability to turn the O/D off.

The tune does nothing to affect the way O/D works...it just gets you there much quicker if need be Also, the added power of the tune along with the way it controls the trans, your car will down shift a lot less than with the stock tune
