Auto tranny for the 96 Cobra

Hello Gents,

I'm in trouble...I've gotten tired of the stick. Cali and traffic and all that, and I'm just getting lazy
So, with the stock DOHC (exhuast whoppadeedoo) can I just run the GT auto on the car with an Auto ECU and flash it for the Cobra? It's a process I'm willing to go through to get the auto. It's either that or sell the Cobra and get a truck.

Pedal set, shifter and console, ECU, Wiring harness, Tranny, torque converter, "flywheel"....interesting since I'll need an 8 bolt....damn I still can't remember the term for the autos "flywheel".......any one have any links or anything where I can go and read up on all of this.

I don't drag the car, I don't race it, I just drive it around town as my daily. Thanks for any help.

I saw a similar question last year either here or on svtperformance. The answer was not practical because of a number of things but most of all you would not be able to smog the car in CA. What the trans has to do with it is beyond me but that's what I read.
