My car has 55,000 miles and i know i should change the tranny fluid but is doing 5 quarts through the pan enough? should i do it again in a couple of weeks or is the flush worth it? What do you guys do and when?

i get it sucked out and pumped in every 30k or so. tranny oil is the only lube i don't do, i think i got charged $40

i would just have it serviced at a shop that way everything gets flushed out i have done it myself but i also have access to a flush machine

Since you have an automatic, you got to worry about 6 qts in the tranny itself and about another 6 in your torque converter.
You should really find a shop that has a tranny flush machine. If you drop the pan about all you will be changing is around 4 qts. At the dealership I work at we use a BG trans flush machine, works very well.
