Autometer Fuel Level Guage Hookup.

I installed aftermarket guages in my car and the fuel level guage is reading completly off. The guage is at empty untill I get to about 3 gallons left in the tank. Then the more I drive the higher the guage reads.

I checked the part #'s and it is the one that is for late model fords.

Anyone hooked one of these up. How did you get it to work.

Did you replace the sender in the tank?

Figured out the problem. There are 2 guel level guages for fords. One that reads 73-10ohms and one that reads 185 or something to 16ohms. I have the wrong one.
