Autometer 3318 Fuel Gauge

Has anyone installed an Autometer 3318 fuel gauge (16-158 ohms) in their Fox? I know the yellow and black wire from the sender provide resistance based on the fuel level, and when I check it at the tank I get about 60 ohms which should show up as a little under half a tank but the gauge reads below empty. I’ve hooked up the gauge as per the instructions, 12v to I terminal, yellow wire at S, and ground to gnd. Any help is appreciated.

Have you verified the ground on the gauge is a good ground? You do not connect the black wire on the sending unit to the ground on the gauge. Leave the black wire on the sending unit to the factory ground and run a new ground wire from the back of the gauge to a suitable ground.
