The simco unit looks absolutely identical to the autometer piece. I should take a picture of both together. They have the exact same moldings, same white background, same electronics and glow color. Only difference is label and font.

You are correct. The plastic, and mechanical parts are the same. The font, the tach redline, the logo, markings, the red needles, etc are different, and those things make it look like the Autometer products.

You re-use the electronic PC board, which is the back of the cluster. Since you are using your original PC board, I can't see what would cause a problem ? Your original PC board has to work with your car's computer.

BTW, you re-use the odometer module too.

Good point!

The stock stuff is just boring. I think the black needles would look cool when the gauges are glowing. It'll give it a digital look. Kind of like the gauges on the Mercedez Benz CLK-GTR.

they look good but not worth spending 400+ on. thas probably why the stopped selling them, cost to damn much. but I will give it that it does look sweet, but I would rather spend my money elsewhere for some speed or something.

Yeah its a hard call. I want one sooooo bad. But I can't justify spending $350+ on GUAGES. I want to buy a t/b and Plenum for that much or, maybe some more suspension work.

Damnit it looks so nice though...
