I did some search, but couldn't come up with anything definite. Can you use the in dash Automemter gauges to replace the stock ones in a 86 dash?

Thanks

Don't have a picture, but I know people have just taken out the factory gauges and put autometers in their place. I think it looks good!

Thanks for the compliment on my gauge swap hot to Zeusmoto.

If anyone has any questions on the guage swap feel free to email me. I also have a few extra clusters lying around if you don't want to hack up your original one.

i think that the companies Flordia5.0 has a replacement set. They are great people to deal with if you call them---very friendly. They will sell you want you need, not stuff to make extra $ off ya.

Once you see this you'll probably want one...i can't find a link to the actual product, but look at the banner on this site, they custom build dash plates specifically for autometers...

Mechanical means it use no electric. Such as for oil pressure, you have a line that gets filled with oil to the gauge. A boost gauge has a vacuum line connected to it. water temp you have to run the line from the gauge to somewhere on the intake in the coolant flow...

Electrical gauges have senders that the gauges to connect to, making them easier to install. Accuracy should be about the same, so it's just what you prefer. On some styles, such as the phantoms, only full sweep needles are available only on mechanical gauges which is the reason I went mechanical. I think they are cheaper too.
