autometer oil pressure and air fuel gauge install...need help

Is the OP gauge electric or mechanical? If the former you need to get a sender from AM (via AM, Summit, et al) before you can do the install.

The air fuel guage just hooks up to the o2 sensor, just splice it into the wire coming off the o2 sensor.............but trust me, those guages are extremly inaccurate, and annoying at night. The only way to get a accurate air/fuel ratio for tuning, is to get a wideband o2 sensor, and a $500 guage.

As for the oil pressure..........you said it's mechanical
therefor you have to tap into the block where the oil filter is, and run a oil line from the block to the sensor. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT...........use the plastic tubing they send, it gets old and brittle.........believe me, you do not want hot oil spilling all over your interior because there is a leak in the line. Personally I would stick with the electronic guages, that way all that is coming into the car is wires, not oil, and collent lines

After you have these 2 things hooked up, it's just a matter of hooking up the power, and ground wires. Just go to http://www.autometer.com/tech_instructions.aspx?sid=1, and check for the guage you are installing.........it'll give you instructions

Just remove the factory oil pressure sender (the big gold thing on the drivers side sticking from the engine by the exhaust manifold. Go to home depot, and buy a 1/4" brass t-fitting and a 1/4" close nipple. Screw it in to where the old sender was, and then screw the factory sender in to one end of the T fitting, and run the oil line off the other end of the T fitting.

That is how I would do it.

Though you are not doing a water temp gauge, to alleviate future fear, the capillary tube contains a substance (often ether) and not coolant.

For the O2 gauge, you can tap into both right and left bank wiring at the computer and use a switch to toggle between each bank if you desire.
