25.7 mpg after I filled up at $2.05/gallon today (93 octane)

If you have a 5 speed......keep rpm's low and shift 1,3,5

many things can contribute to lower gas mileage. Driving habits, city/highway drive time, adverse tire pressure, and extra weight in the car, oh and let's not forget fuzzy math. There's several others, but they are so insignificant that they don't really matter much.

I get 25-29 in my 98 v-6. keep rpms below 2500 and that will help. I put in new sparks, and a k&n filter. i put 5w30 mobile synthetic in as well. and 91-92 premium. just some small things that can help.

the newer v6's (99+) are supposed to get 20 mpg city and 30 highway. when i first got my stanger, i was getting like 16 or 17 mpg. i was like what the hell? i put in a k&n magnaflow filter and occasionally i put gas treatment and fuel injection cleaner into my tank, which helps. now i get like 19 or 20. a full tank usually gets me about 250 miles, give or take

dont put premium in ur car. = waste of money.

u can only burn so much octane at that, so just get regular

OMG! Thats steep! I pay a little more then that for 3 cars!. Damm I complained about the rate the zing me for my stang. $1450/yr for a non DD as I don't drive my stang to work.
Mustang's are rated a class 1, high theft, high risk car. You guys arn't going to like this little tid bit. We(meaning my wife) just purchased a new people mover aka: minivan. 2004 and its cheaper to insure then my stang, can you say ouch... $35000 2004 Minvan, 1995 Mustang convertible worth what $10000 tops if I'm lucky! Do the math Insurance companys screw us over because the car's a Mustang!
