That's 8MPG. That's pretty bad.

Even when i do all city driving, i get typically 175 gallons to a tank...and i drive aggressively.

Also, if your car is bone stock, it should get better gas mileage on 87 octane.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

How do you drive? Are you always on the throttle?

Guys, you have to remember he stated NYC driving. I've never been there, but I imagine you spend more time idling than moving which obviously would KILL gas mileage. Also, he never stated how many gallons were used in these 120 miles.
I get 19-20mpg in my city driving, but traffic generally moves well with good distance between stop lights. That's around 260-280 per tank when I fill her with around 14 gallons.

I get the same on the highway. These cars are really great cruising in 5th gear. i regularly get 25-27MPG on 87 octane with all highway driving. I drive 50 miles a day on the highway. My start and destination are within 1/2 mile from the on/off ramps...so i truely do nearly 100% highway driving.

That is terrible mileage!

I always check my fuel mileage.

I usually get 18 - 21 city driving and 25 - 28 highway driving. My average fuel mileage last season was 22 mpg. My worst ever fuel mileage was 17, and that included several 1/4 mile and 0-60 runs with mostly city driving.

You should do a tune-up.
