Axle Removal?

quick question...does the dif cover need to be removed when taking the axles out? Or is do I just hit them with a slide hammer to pop the clips? Not sure how the axle retainers work with the trac-loc dif.

Your going to need to take the rear cover off, once the oil has drained you will need a magnet or a thin set of needle nose pliers to grab the c-clips. If your rear brakes are already off the axel will slide out. Carefull not to tear the rubber seals at the end of the axel.
