snapped a axle stud on the passenger side front wheel, i already removed the other one and punched it out, can i punch the new one back in or is there a method to this? i went to autozone and they gave me the wrong size, the new one just sits all the way in and has lots of play, so im guessing its the wrong size, so now i gotta wait till tomorrow

i had a shop replace mine on because they put the wheel on wrong in the first place. they had to go a size larger than the stock studs, and they used the impact wrench with an adaptor.

I'd get the studs from a Ford dealer. There something like $2 each...not bad for a dealer part. While you're there, pick-up a new lug nut also. After cleaning the stud hole good, feed the stud thru the hole in the axle and put an old wheel nut on the new stud and tighten it up so as to draw the new stud into the fit. You may have to put a properly sized socket over the stud as a spacer when you tighen-up. You will be wrenching hard to draw it in all the way. Once done, throw the old nut away and replace it with the new one you bought. Good luck!
