Axle's and wheel bearing seal

dissasembly

pull diff cover and drain gear oil

remove the pin by removing the small bolt

push axles inward and pull c clips out using a magnet

pull axles out and use the end of the axle to pry the seal out (works real good)

you will need a bearing puller to remove the bearings

The only step they don't show is using a bearing removal tool (slide hammer). If you want to replace those too, you can "borrow" a bearing removal tool from AutoZone or Advance Auto. You just have to give them a deposit of about $120. Like Roland69 said, the seals can be easily pried out with the end of the axle shaft.

I used an appropriate sized, cast iron pipe coupler, with an end cap, instead of the seal/bearing replacement tool. It worked well. You just need to tap them in slowly to make sure they go in evenly.
