Can my car handle 4.10's, aluminum control arms, and nitto's drag radials? I guess I want to know if I need new axles or anything else. I've never been to the track but I will be. Any help?

I understand using stock axles with gears, drag radials and high RPM launches is a crap shoot. Some get years of launches some get one. Take you chances but, be prepared to walk home. I personally plan to upgrade to 31 spline axles as good insurance.

I got 3 launches on my DR's and 4.10's before snapping my stock axles....like he said above it's a crap shoot. Upgrade if you have the money for a little peace of mind!

Thanks for the replies, but what rpms are you guys launching at? You would think that ford would make stronger axles since the mustang is practically a drag car. Would it be ok, if it was just street use and occasional light to light racing? I saw 31 spline axles for like $269, but I'm not sure what else is needed.

you would also need a new center section that can accept 31 spline axles. keep in mind that he 05 mustang gets 31 splines. the reason that teh stock stangs use 28 spline is because thats what most people ever need. there are thousands of people who own mustangs, gt's, mach's and cobras included that have never, and never intend to race it, they just want a car that looks good.
