Back from Body Shop FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL...i'm just sayin. Look at the before and after pics with the pinstripe and without it.

After:

Maybe it's just me but the lack of the pinstripe and matching body mold just makes it look 100% better.

Hope this helps.

Wow it looks great, I can't hardly believe it is the same car, no more waxing it every month to keep a shine in it.

And about liking the color.....admit it you only like it because it is the closeest thing to Crimson Red!!!!

67Coupe, if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay to get it painted like that? It looks absolutely flawless :hail2: .

Out of pocket $1400 for the paint job. But, this is discounted from what he normally charges cause my car was wrecked anyway.

I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. For $2000, I puchased a hood, had it and new headlights installed, and every square inch of the car repainted (trim, too).

Thanks for all the comments! :SNSign:

Yeah man that's a steal...hell of a good deal for paint alone.

This thread should be stickied for anyone in the future with stupid body kit questions and people wanting to run 6'' cowl hoods and crazy paint schemes.

:jaw: You got a deal. In my area you cant even get a decent paint job without spending $3,000 and that doesn't even include the door jambs :nonono: .

He said he would normally charge $2600. But since I was in a wreck (not my fault), he'd factor all the prep, material, and time in the price I was quoted.

Actually, I paid the bodyshop $4400. But I received $3000 from the other drivers insurance company. So, he still made his money.

I like the way you think!!! I feel Ford did a pretty good job with the appearance of the foxes. No need to go over the top and take away from the factory look.

:jaw: All I can say is WOW!!!

I'm so glad I looked at your thread. People have asked me if I was planning to keep my trim black, and I've always said I liked the stock look, but seeing how well yours turned out, I think I will get it all painted the same color. It makes the car look much more "modern".

I've loved my Medium Cabernet color, and up until the last couple of years, it has held up very well in the Texas heat, even being outside every day. I hit it with some compound, polish and wax, and it still looks decent, if you ignore the peeling paint! LOL!

Now I really can't wait to get mine painted!!!! Thanks again for the pics. :nice:

I remember seeing pics of your car before. Nice ride. :nice: I almost went with the bullets with my 5-lug swap.

At first I had the same thought as you...keep it factory. I thought for a long time and seached countless threads before making the decision to paint the molding solid. Very glad I did!!!

Thanks!!! Glad I could be of help.

Car looks awesome.

I think the #1 factor in why it came out like it did was that it was done right and complete on a straight car. Yes, the solid look does kick ass, and the color does too.
