Backseat removal

Ok, i got the seat itself out of my 68 coupe but am having trouble getting the back itself out. By trouble I mean I have no idea how it comes out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

theres two bolts at the bottom of the seat holding it in.

it might lift up toward the roof too.

ya, i found the bolts..they were hidden under years of woodland debris and what i think was at one point part of a squirrel

yah, vaccuum the fur up , unbolt, and lift toward the roof, that should make it pop right out.

Not to jack your thread, but how do you get the seat out? On my car, the back just lifts up to the roof.

Near the top there are two hooks that the seat frame rests on with nothing but gravity holding it. For Cajun that means the bottom part of the seat back is missing the two sheet metal screws. But if you have the two screws removed then lift up firmly, there may be some squirrel sign causing it to stick on the hooks also.
