Im 67, old enough to remember Backup lights on with hot rods. To me the message- Ready to race ?
this is my recent car purchase & previous owner put on aftermarket tail lamps
when I noticed backup lites on if car is on, I was like I'll Be darned Thats cool
ok so what you think mistake install or on purpose ?
I know illegal, but it's only rock and roll and i like it .

I wouldn't want my back up lights on all the time - I don't see any reason for it, and it can cause confusion in a parking lot - they have a job to do, both to warn people that you ARE backing up (useful info) AND you illuminate behind your car when backing up - also useful and vital information. Plus, who wants to change bulbs more often, and have more electrical draw on your system, and get nothing for it? Now on the other side, I have a 99 Mustang six with the fake hood scoop - if I could get a cool light to illuminate from this area, creating a neat effect that people would see when driving towards them at night (when the headlights are on) - that may be worthwhile, particularly if it looked great behind the wheel -

In the end I will I will have to correct too big and bright during daytime cool retro , but at night eventually confusion
most likely the backup switch jammed
