I've been getting a cylinder 1 misfire for a while and I think I have a bad fuel injector. Coming out of first and going into second and third I can hear a small whistle noise as i'm shifting. So what do you guys think? Is this a bad injector or vacuum leak?

most likely not a fuel injector problem. first off a noid light doesn't test the injector it test the electric signal from the computer that pulses the injector and the ground. ways to check injectors are: ohming out the injector and make sure it is within spec., or pull the fuel rail and do a injector balance test to see if it is flowing correctly. an easy way to tell if an injector is going bad is let the car sit overnight and when you start it in the morning you will have a bad miss for a little while because the injector was leaking fuel in the cylinder all night. most likely you have an ignition misfire on your number one cylinder. do a tune up and i bet she will run fine. tune up consists of: plugs, wires, pcv, fuel filter, and air filter if neccessary. if you were in my shop i would also do a fuel injection service but you probably don't have the equipment for this so maybe bring it to a shop that does after you do a tune up.
