bad gas mileage, really bad

would just one injector that is stuck open cause very bad mileage, i',m talking if i drive about 70 for about 30 minutes on a full tank, it will be on half or under in just 30 minutes of all highway use

do you have a CEL?
you must be smoking tremendously!
are you sure the gauge is working properly

it works, you can smell the unburned fuel but i am not sure if it is smoking. the cel is one but it has been on forever and it is only one code which is becuase i have the fan temp switch unhooked because i have a bad fan controller which won't turn the fan on for long. that is the only code, i keep checking it and nothing else.

well fords go into a limp mode when the CEL is on, one of the things that it does in this limp mode is go really rich

i found the problem, #1 plug was black, so i switched that injector with #2 and sure enough, #1 plug turned normal and #2 plug got black. the cel has been on for a long time and never before has it spent this much fuel.
